What goes on a mobile mechanic invoice
- Who and where. Your business details, the customer, and the address where the work was done.
- The vehicle. Year, make, model, VIN, and the odometer reading or engine hours at the time of service.
- Labor and parts, separately. Labor as hours times rate, parts as quantity times price. Separating them makes the invoice easier to read and makes tax easier to get right.

Is this mechanic invoice generator really free?

How do I save the invoice as a PDF?
Press Print or save as PDF, then choose Save as PDF (or Microsoft Print to PDF) as the printer. The print layout strips the page down to just the invoice. On a phone, use the share or print option in the print dialog.
What should a mobile mechanic invoice include?
Your business name and contact details, the customer and service address, the vehicle with VIN and mileage, an invoice number and date, labor lines with hours and rate, parts with the price you charge, any travel or service-call fee, sales tax, the total and your payment terms. Warranty terms in the notes help avoid disputes later.
Should I charge tax on labor?
It depends on your state. Many states tax parts but not repair labor, some tax both, and a few treat service-call fees differently again. That is why the tax boxes are separate for parts, labor and the fee. Check your state revenue department before you set it.
How does the parts markup work?
Enter what the part costs you and your markup percentage. The invoice shows only the marked-up unit price, and the profit you made on parts is shown on the page but never printed. Markup is calculated on cost, so a 35 percent markup on a 100 dollar part is 135 dollars.
