Account Deletion Policy

Last updated: May 26, 2026

This page explains what happens when you delete your Trackara Pro account: what gets deleted, when, and how to recover if you change your mind. Apple's App Store guidelines and Google's Play Store data-deletion policy require us to make this information clear and easy to find — so here it is.

Heads up: Account deletion does not automatically cancel your subscription. If you want both, you need to do both. See our Cancellation Policy for how to cancel — short version: email support@trackara.app. Trackara Pro subscriptions are currently billed only through Stripe (not Apple IAP or Google Play), so there is no in-device subscription screen to cancel from.
Deleted your account before May 26, 2026? Our old delete flow didn't show today's cancellation reminder. If you're not sure whether you're still being billed, email support@trackara.app and we'll look up your Stripe record. If we find an active subscription tied to a deleted Trackara account and you ask in good faith, we'll cancel it and refund the last 30 days of charges. Full details on the Cancellation Policy.

How to delete your account

From the app, you'll see a disclosure screen that asks you to acknowledge two things: that your subscription is not automatically cancelled, and that you've read this policy. We log both acknowledgements so there's a clear record of consent.

What happens — the 30-day timeline

D0
You request deletion. You're signed out and your account enters a "pending deletion" state. Your data is not visible to you in the apps anymore, but it's still stored on our servers — held in case you change your mind.
Recovery window (Days 0–30). Sign back in at any point in the next 30 days and choose Restore Account. Everything comes back exactly as you left it. No charges, no fees.
D23
Final reminder email (optional). About a week before the hard deletion, we send a reminder to the email on file. If your subscription is still active, this is your last clear nudge to cancel that separately.
D30
Permanent deletion. A scheduled server-side job permanently deletes your Firebase Auth credential and every Firestore document tied to your account. This includes projects, clients, invoices, quotes, work orders, inspections, mileage trips, time entries, and any uploaded photos. This cannot be reversed.

What gets deleted

What we may retain (and why)

Even after a hard deletion, we may retain limited information where the law or legitimate business needs require it:

If you want to delete right now: Email support@trackara.app and ask for an immediate purge. An admin can override the 30-day grace and remove everything within one business day. We'll confirm by email when it's done.

Questions or disputes

If you believe your account was deleted in error, or you need help recovering one that's already been hard-deleted, contact support@trackara.app. We will reply with what is and isn't recoverable based on how much time has passed since the purge.
